UWC Uganda has been in existence for a few decades now and has over this time frame sent scholars to several parts of the world to experience the transforming power of a UWC education. With Uganda as one of the world's leading destination for refugees, UWC Uganda is keen on giving refugees resident in Uganda access to the life changing opportunity of a UWC education.

In 2018, the National Committee successfully selected and sent the first beneficiary of the UWC Refugees scholarship to UWC Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
